Conventions - Swaggy Goodness

It's officially convention season, time for geeks around the country to strap on their old stormtrooper costumes from 35 pounds ago. Giant convention halls will be packed to the gills with fellow techies and fanboys, all scrambling to score another strand of William Shatner's hair for their voodoo hair-doll they keep under the pillow.

Comic Con, starting July 26th, will be housed in sunny San Diego, home to your humble narrator. While I'm not a comic freak, my wallet will undoubtedly be open for most of my duration there. The Saturday costume contest is one the highlights of the con, with the absolute worst costumes being my favorites. There's nothing more entertaining than seeing a dude in an anime robot costume he made with cardboard and shoe polish. We're not setting up for J!NX here, but we probably will next year.

The weekend of the August 3rd brings two conalicious events, DEF CON 15 and BlizzCon.

We'll be splitting up the J!NX minions and setting up at both of these. DEF CON brings some of the world's best hackers to the Riviera in Vegas (baby). It is advisable to avoid using the ATMs in the immediate vicinty of the DEF CON rooms. DC is a 3 day raging party, so as Caesar from the infamous Ghetto Hackers would say: liver optional, brain required.

This will be our first year setting up at BlizzCon. As most of you know, we're Blizzard fanboys/fangirls, so we're looking forward to it. If you go, make sure you stop by the J!NX booth and tell us why your uber, epic'd-out class can wtfpwn our class in PvP.
