Citadels

Citadels is a classic, masterful game for 2 to 8 players with a huge psychological component. The goal is to build "districts" that have a point value associated with them. When someone builds 8 districts, the game ends and apart from a few other ways to earn points, the player with the most total district value wins. Here's where it gets interesting: Each round, players secretly choose one of 8 roles, such as Assassin, Thief, or Merchant, and each role has a special power that can be activated. Players can use that "special power" against one of the other 8 roles, but they can only name the ROLE they want to act against, not the specific player. For example, if I am the thief and I want that big stack of gold in front of another player, I need to cleverly deduce which role that other player chose and state, "I'm stealing from the Merchant". Citadels is an epic game, and a mainstay here at J!NX. Our games typically last about an hour or longer depending on the number of players.
