Chris Gore is a writer and a television personality who has built a solid reputation as a hilariously outspoken voice in the film world.
As a teenager, Chris founded the brutally honest magazine, Film Threat. The print magazine was retired in 1997 when it was re-launched as a web site. Chris publishes FilmThreat.com which has an audience of over 500,000 readers monthly and was named one of the top five movie web sites by the Wall Street Journal. He claims that film can indeed pose a threat, and that potential should be used wisely.
Chris has appeared as a film expert on MSNBC, E!, CNN, Reelz Channel and has also hosted shows on FX, Starz, and IFC His weekly review segment, DVDuesday, on G4TV's "Attack of the Show" is among the most popular. He recently sold a show called "Hollywood on the Rocks" to the Ovation Network.
He has authored "The 50 Greatest Movies Never Made" (St. Martin's Press) and "The Complete DVD Book" (Michael Wiese Publications). His book "The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide" (Random House) is considered the bible of the industry, often being required reading for many college film programs. A 4th edition is due in late 2009.
Chris recently ventured into indie filmmaking, having co-written and produced the feature comedy "My Big Fat Independent Movie" (Anchor Bay DVD) which toured 40 film festivals worldwide and can be seen on Showtime and the Sundance Channel.
While Ed Norton would be perfect to play Chris in a movie, he would need to borrow George Clooney’s hair. For true accuracy, they would need to remove one of Norton’s kidneys.
Chris considers himself a movie geek who was lucky enough to forge a career working as a full-fledged "Nerdlebrity". He lives in Los Angeles but his home online can be found at ChrisGore.com.

Hanging with my favorite Suicide Girls at Wondercon.
This shot was taken when I was in college and made the cover of the school newspaper. Back then I was arty, pretentious, hairy and holding a Bolex 16mm camera. But you can already tell that from the picture.
