The first 3D game designers don't get enough credit. Remember back before there were textures, normal maps, and HDR lighting, and your PC was powered by a 233 MHz Hamster-on-a-Wheel? Remember how your "spaceship" was really just 5 triangles and 3 colors, and how it would look more like a porcupine with an eating disorder if you viewed it from the wrong angle? And yet those games still rocked socks. Three cheers for the New-Retro All-Stars!
